Classroom
In equatorial Africa, schools are constructed with concrete blocks and corrugated tin roofs. At noon, when the sun is directly overhead, temperatures soar—reaching up to 115°F in March, April, and May. Classrooms, often overcrowded with 50 to 100 students, trap the heat, turning learning spaces into ovens where concentration and comfort are nearly impossible.
Despite these extreme conditions, fifth-grade students must prepare for the national sixth-grade entrance exams, an academic milestone that shapes their future. FoG recognizes the need for sustainable solutions to improve classroom environments. By leveraging technology, renewable energy, and innovative infrastructure, we aim to create cooler, healthier spaces where students can focus, thrive, and achieve their full potential.
